CALL FOR PAPERS

The call for papers for the Conference on Personal Archives and Culture is now open. The conference will have three distinct topics relating to the main themes of the Conference:
  1. The right to the memory and to privacy: visibility and internet;
  2. The impact of technology in the construction, preservation and access to memory;
  3. The right to privacy: access, limits and standards.
The proposals should be submitted to the Academic Committee in Portuguese (Brazilians and other native Portuguese speakers) or English (for all other overseas delegates). A strict policy of author anonymity shall be adhered to ensuring that the Committee will consider each proposal by its own merit, the relevancy to the themes, the objectivity, the use of academic standards, the correct use of the language (Portuguese or English) and of theory and methods.

Each author can submit a maximun of three papers. In the case of more than three submissions the last ones will be excluded according to the date and hour of submission.

Proposals should be analytical and relate to one of themes of the event. References to projects or case studies either in development or recently concluded will be encouraged if they describe how the project will contribute to the further development of archival theory and practice.

The paper should be in DOC or DOCX format and have between 8-12 pages in Times New Roman font, 12, normal, justified, with spacing of 1.5 with an abstract, a brief bibliography and 4 keywords. The author(s) must identify the theme each paper is related to just above the title.

Please submit the paper to the email address: arquivospessoaisecultura.fcrb@gmail.com. by 9nd May, 2016. Include the registration form.
